It's Year End Tax Prep Time!

So I readily admit that preparing my information for my tax accountant is absolutely the least favorite part of owning my own business.   BUT, it has to be done and the reality is, when you own your own business you get all kinds of tax deductions.   I uploaded a short YOUTUBE video for you to watch that I think will make your preparations simple.   It's less than 5 minutes and well worth your watching.
Additionally, I have a document on our team Facebook page (simply like "Wiemann Spa Girls") that is helpful in helping you track your expenses month by month.   I use Quicken; others use Money Works, some even use paper like the document I've attached.  It lists all the things you can deduct.  You could take this piece of paper and tape it to a large manilla envelope or forward and do one for each month if you want.   Then the second sheet is for income.
Lastly, if you sell a lot of product and if you're good with computers you might consider getting a program called Nutshell.  It helps you type out invoices for your clients and is helpful in monitoring your inventory.  I love Nutshell.  I use it to send emails to my clients regularly; I use it to keep my clients' husband's information and just so much information.  If you're interested in knowing more about this program let me know and I will help you get started with a free trial.   Otherwise, keep it simple and track it via paper--that's what I did for years!

New York New York

I love this time of year.  I love the anticipation of Christmas.  I've been involved in music at our church ever since I can remember and I never tire of how expectant we are as musicians.  We expect miracles.  We expect people to get moved by the Holy Spirit in our services.  We expect people to come who don't normally and then experience God in new ways.   It's such a blessing to be a part of Christmas services and I never tire of that feeling of expectancy.  Each year is so different from the previous.
I also love the anticipation of new things with BeautiControl.  And I love it when our leadership decide to do something unexpected!  Today it was learning about a recruiting promotion where consultants can earn a trip to New York City!!   Wow - the promotion runs January through March and along the way are awesome gifts PLUS the top 40 recruiters get to spend a day shopping with Daisy.
Recruiting Rewards for New York Promotion
The great thing about recruiting promotions is that everyone is on the same page.  Everyone has the same opportunities and I've seen amazing things happen in these promotions.   Log into beautinet to read the guidelines.  Remember, your new team members must be qualified (qualified means $500 retail order in their first 30 days or $1000 accumulative in their first 60 days).   This promotion can change your business so if you're interested in learning how to get this to happen let's talk.
Take a minute and comment on our Facebook page - they say when you commit to others you are more apt to really do what you said you'd do.   Would this be an awesome way to start the year or what!?!??

My husband and I are big fans of some of the shows that show stories of people overcoming obstacles.   Sometimes I get in a funk when I have 3 spas cancel; or 10 people say no or a consultant calls to say she no longer wants to purchase or sell BeautiControl.  Then I come across videos like this that show someone overcoming challenges and I think "good grief, my life isn't so bad".   Watch this video and be inspired to overcome those NOs today.

Lastly, I wanted to share this little video from Sr. Executive Director Lisa Herman, a young mom of  3 in Florida.  I love her advice--Random effort produces random results.   Do something every day for your business - CONSISTENCY.   It's been the key to my success for 22 years.  Some days it's something big; many days it's been something little.  You can do this!!!

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS.  I am so blessed with all of you.  I am grateful for the gift of my Savior and the reason I celebrate the season; and I am grateful for each of you.  Be blessed this Christmas season!  JULIE

The Christmas selling season is upon us!!   Always a fun time of the year.  Many of you are holding holiday sales and open houses; doing vendor fairs and starting to talk with men to see how you can help make their shopping more simple.   Keep up the great work.   Consultant Debbie Longseth had her holiday sale last weekend and sold over $1000 which is huge in helping her pay for bills!  She'll tell you it pays to hold an event consistently every year.

Here's some quick kudos for October:

So you want to really succeed at this business?  A lot of people say they want success but they really don't want to put in the work necessary.  And it is work but it is SO rewarding.   Here's some tips that were taught to me a long time ago and I was reminded of them by a recent acquaintance at a vendor fair who leads a team of people in another direct sales company.
Celebration in Dallas
Team Time with fellow directors in Dallas
1.  Ask yourself - Would you be super excited if you sponsored/recruited YOU!? (Determine what qualities you are looking for in a Business Partner, then work on being that Person)!   Or would you want to be YOUR client?   Why would you want to be your client?   Do you take care of your clients and offer great customer service?
2.Become a true Student of BeautiControl (This path has been walked by many, let’s learn what holes to skip over).
3.Immerse yourself in an environment in which you are constantly learning from leaders who have walked this walk before. (Repetition truly is the Mother of Skill)! Get on conference calls, watch webinars, turn your car into a learning library.
4.Embark on a continual personal-growth journey (How many times were we uncomfortable this past week? That’s a clue. Remember, we only grow when we’re uncomfortable. That’s means we’re pushing the cocoon more and more, until we build up the strength to break out and fly.)
5.Work consistently on your communication & listening skills…and…Pass them along! (This is the most rewarding investment we can make in ourselves!! And the only pathway to real mastery is through real experience and getting into all out action!)
I love this business.  It has taught me a lot and rewarded me a hundredfold.
Speaking of learning - here's a great call that will help you with verbiage on how to recruit using our $50 SPA ON THE SPOT kit.  http://recordings.freeconferencecalling.com/mp3/960002/732174/MN2124_10232012190037268_1051527.mp3

TEAM NEWS FROM SEPTEMBER

Some of you have probably tried to get into our www.wiemanndreamteam.com website the past few months and not been able to find it.   After looking at the number of hits, and the amount of time it takes to keep a website update I decided to discontinue our site.   I will be using this blog instead for updates and when I finally figure out WORDPRESS we'll be able to share files.  Another reason is that there are some AMAZING team websites from some national directors that you can find the same, if not better info on.  Please mark these websites as favorites for finding great photos and information like "How to do a Vendor Fair", How to do alternative spas like detox and sculpt spas, and so much more.

Our Celiac Conference table
SPEAKING OF VENDOR FAIRS!!!!  It is the season for vendor and craft fairs.  I'd never spend more than $50 for a fair, and they're fun to do with another consultant--simply split the price, split the leads, split the sales.   All of the sites above give some great tips for vendor fairs and I wanted to share with you a couple of photos from my most recent one that Carolyn DeHoogh and I did together.  It yielded $394 in sales and several appointments we'll be holding over the next month. This was a selling event--you have to determine if you're going to sell or if it's more of an obtaining leads event.  People who came here were specifically looking for gluten-free items to take home; but we also (and we ALWAYS) had a drawing to get names to add to our mailing lists and to call for follow-up spa appointments.  You may notice an awesome poster - it's a poster I have that shows before/after photos you are always welcome to borrow when not in use as I have two!!   Check your local newspaper, talk to friends and other direct-sales consultants and google or do a search on Craigs List for local craft fairs if you want to exhibit this fall.   You'll reap some great new leads.
OUR TEAM MADE MONTH #1 MERCEDES TOTALS FOR AUGUST BUT HAD A MISS FOR SEPTEMBER - sad face.   This month our team needs to sell $33,354 which is going to be a huge stretch but if we can some new team members and we start selling and recruiting again it can happen!!!  I'd love to earn this fantastic Mercedes and trust me, if I do each of you can have a ride and drive it!

GO EXTREME

I get SO excited when we come out with fabulous new products that really make a difference in our skin.  I've loved the new BC Spa Facial products since we came out with them.  The ultimate compliment that I know our products are working is when women question me about my age.   The older I get the more skincare I sell which is so fun!  Women want to look beautiful!!  Don't be afraid to introduce them to your products when you receive a compliment about your skin and/or makeup.
The new TFF Extreme is absolutely unreal.  Look at this picture of my friend Carolyn.  Compare the right side of her face with the left side of her face---look at how one side has more lines around her eyes and how one cheek is more lifted.  Pay attention to the line along the side of her nose/mouth.
To learn more about this new product click here--you don't have to watch the whole thing but watch the first 15 minutes:

Ladies, if you're not using our skincare and anti-aging products and going elsewhere to buy them you are using a lesser quality product.  And I've used our makeup for 22 years as well.  It's phenomenal.
What fun I have sharing our products with women.  Women love to look beautiful, and when I sit down with someone and help them look and feel great it makes me happy to see them feel good about themselves.
As we were reminded by Tupperware CEO Rick Goings in Dallas last week, being involved in direct sales is a Personal Development course.  On days when I don't feel like doing a spa I remember what it feels like to make someone feel good for just a little while.  Always I leave feeling better about myself and SO GRATEFUL that I could love on someone for awhile.   Order EXTREME TFF #18089 from BeautiControl.  You'll be so glad you did!
